The Board is pleased to announce that Mike Peters has been permanently appointed into the role of Group Chief Executive for New Zealand Health Group.
Mike stepped into the Acting Chief Executive role in November and the Board has been impressed by his leadership through a period of significant change in the health sector. Mike joined the group in May 2019 and has been an invaluable member of our Executive Leadership Team. During his time, including his time as Acting Chief Executive, he has led many key improvement initiatives that have strengthened our position as Aotearoa’s leading home and community healthcare provider.
With a deep understanding of our organisation and strong relationships across the health sector, Mike is well prepared to continue to lead our 10,000-strong team in delivering exceptional care to thousands of people across Aotearoa. The Board is delighted to have Mike at the helm as we continue to grow and work toward our purpose of Pae Ora mō Tātau Katoa (achieving equitable wellbeing for everyone).
